Reckons he can still cut it in championship....goalscoring midfielder..worth a contract till end of season in my opinion.
He was, 5 years ago. Well past his best, done nothing since leaving here, and won't even be a shade of the player he was.
so lets just stay with the squad weve got ,not sign anyone at all in case someone gets upset, we need all the help we can get and Brian Howards got an eye for goal, something were not strong on this season.Hed be ideal just behind the strikers.
Tbf not many players have come back to't well and surpassed or even equalled their past exploits and IMO Howard would be no different
Depends on your definition of "goalscoring midfielder" as he's only scored five goals in a massive 130 games since leaving us..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Howard_(footballer)#Club_career
maybe he needs to come home....as for more midfielders the ones we have are'nt good enough, if they were we wouldnt be second bottom, i just think a four month contract if he'd take it wouldnt be a risk..like i say just an opinion.
To be fair, not many of our games have been lost in midfield. More defensive blunders and firing blanks up front. Howard wouldn't add anything to what we have based on current form, I think you are being nostalgic for the 2008 model.
teams need goals from midfield as well as upfront, we're woefully short in that departmant, all i'm saying is its worth a punt..but hey lets do nothing!
I think we are far weaker in other area's Dawson player of season so far Perkins not far behind and mellis has undoubted ability I would say it's a big strong centre half we need
