Apparently a Cardiff fan fell through the temporary stand near the end... hence all the stewards blocking part of the stand off visible on TV. A Wednesday fan did same last season... be careful when we go there!!! Not a fan of Cardiff's spending or rebranding, but I kinda hope they go up, they're always near the top and it's a horrible trip!
Cardiff will fall at the last hurdle and end up in the Play offs.. its what they do and they never can do Play Offs. Its that simple. Auto promotion ??? I will go with Hull and Leicester. Maybe Watford in the Play Offs.
they have been several to 10 points clear at many times since they got promotion.. and each and every year they have fecked it up. Give it time fella the normal Cardiff nose dive will happen
Bluebird is overjoyed tonight. Not there just yet though - I'm guessing another 30 points (maybe 27) will be enough. 10 wins out of 18.
enjoy the play-offs matey you know its gonna happen MWUHAHAHAHAHA seriously I hope this is your year, its there for the taking right now.
A couple of years ago on your recomendation I read the Robin Friday book...excellent, I believe theyre making a film about it....Hope u go up Bluebird you seem like a good guy.
Re: You're correct, we have ...but not at this stage of the season and not with the strength in depth we now have. We won today without key players such as Bellamy & Turner - but still had quality throughout the bench. We've not even noticed losing Nicky Maynard for the season for instance. Where we've struggled in the past is not the starting XI - it's when injuries, suspensions & general tiredness kick in. We could fail of course, can't realistically see it happen - but you never know.
Glad you enjoyed it & they are indeed making a film about it - working title of "The Greatest Footballer You Never Saw" so I've heard. There was talk of Robert Carlisle playing RF, not sure if he got the role though. Don't make characters like Friday any more lol. As you liked that one, I'll give you another recommendation - Phil Stants' Ooh Aah Stantona. I enjoyed the start with his army background, through the Falklends conflict, more than his football anecdotes - and that says something. Journeyman lower-league goalscorer but what a bloke. Another thing I liked was the fact that he's clearly written it himself. Ta for the good wishes btw - I'd like to do it the once but I'm happy enough in the Championship tbh.
Since when was it the English Championship? Always been the Football League as far as I'm aware? Granted, most of the teams are English but there have been other Welsh sides in the FL system including Wrexham, Newport, Aberdare, Merthyr, Barry - as well as Scots teams btw, as you should know given your location. We're as much a part of the League as anyone else is.
Nothing against you or your club mate, but as far as it goes in my eyes it should be seperate English, Welsh, and Scottish leagues Exactly the same reason I don't want Rangers/The Rangers/Rangers Newco/whatever the **** they call themselves now applying for entry in to the Blue Square Prem.
The welsh teams are a part of history now though, too late to do anything about it. They have not been done any favours to get where they are so good luck to them. I have enjoyed Swansea in the PL.
They were done a favour before playing us at Wembley if I remember correctly with regards to a certain player's red card/suspension being overturned by the Welsh FA after the English FA upheld the punishment. Wasn't it Darren Purse?
