After seeing the increased performance my support for Dawson & Daggers of late I'm now passing on my love to big Kelv after seeing him written off despite only starting 5 games for us all season. I think he needs me.

    Up the Kelv.

He played that many games before people wrote him off? Surprising, folk are usually experts one way or the other after just a 10 min sub appearance.

I'm ignoring the 9 substitute appearances.

Also taking into consideration he's never had a run in the side, he's a winger and we've not played with wingers all season and generally we've been a bit rubbish so unfair to cast judgement.

He is no winger that is for sure. I reckon he can do a decent job in the middle though.

Your philanthropy knows no bounds. Does it work retrospectively as well? If you start heaping love on Deon Burton will we all forget how f*cking terrible he was.

Must say, I think you've got your work cut out with ar Kelv. At least with Dawson and Daggers you know they're going to run through brick walls. I suppose if Etuhu can get anywhere near their workrate he's got a chance.

    Jim O'Brien wasn't one, either.

And he's definitely not a central midfielder.

He has looked **** on the wing. He has played his best game for us in the middle, he also played there for Pompey (according to fans) and did well. So maybe he is?

I just think it's unfair to write him off after 5 starts in a struggling side.

    He'll be reight.

    Darren's favver?

Wiseman could do with a bit of arm round the shoulder from you as well. Flicker is right about fans needing to cut him some slack. The way we seem to be racking up injuries, he'll undoubtedly be needed at some stage and the effort he shows doesn't warrant the abuse he receives in my opinion.

Loved the way Flitcroft spoke about the situation between Wiseman and the fans. Keith Hill would have called us all cnuts because some people booed him. Flitcroft appealed to our better nature and asked us to rally round because we're all in it together.

A manager in any business has to manage both the employees and the customers. I thought Keith failed in 50% of that. But Flitcroft appears to understand how important it is to get the customers on side and it makes a refreshing change. He wouldn't have been my choice, but I'm warming to him, although I still think he's got a hell of a job on to keep us up.

Agreed. Thought he handled it well, could've gone either way.

Needs to stop calling Keith 'The Gaffer', though.

Can see why the players like him, speaks very positively and is supportive of his players.

Managers take different tacks when it comes to the media. I always thought Keith Hill's approach was a bit of a defence mechanism to be honest. Support his players at all costs and everyone else (including fans) are cnuts. Ferguson does the same, although his wrath is usually directed at match officials. Might be pilloried by the press but the players know you've got their back.

Flicker seems uber positive, getting everyone on side. Probably no surprise as it's his first job as No. 1 so a lot rides on this being a success. Be interesting to see when we've had a bad run of results how he'll cope.

You're right though Jay, top marks so far.

Yup, he does. He'll soon stop when Keith is pestering him to loan our players for Rochdale.
