he is gonna have a job lifting the players after losing over two legs to a 3rd flight team in a semi final
Yet another overambitious fool who thought this role/opportunity was in some way 'bigger' than the one he had before - the LMA job-club must be littered with them.
Think the step up from Norwich to Villa is bigger than most people believe. Generally Villa are a top 8 team with the odd flirtation into Europe or Cup Finals........but this season could easily get relegated. Paul Lambert's move from Norwich to Villa is similar to Keith Hill's move from Rochdale to Barnsley.....step too far/too soon? I don't think it's financial greed on either manager's part, just that they think they can do a (much) bigger job when in reality they can't.
They (Villa) only survived by the skin of their teeth last season and could easily drop this season. Poor side who think that being a big club years ago is enough to keep them up.
Quite possibly. I'd love to see Liverpool collapse into oblivion but I can't see that happening anytime soon.
I thought that was the reason he left Celtic? Villa was because of no finance available for players was my understanding.
My grandson is an Aston Villa fan. They are in free fall. Whether it is lack of support from Lerner or just that Lambert is out of his comfort Zone is hard to say. If you watched them recently on sky they are not organised at all. Their defence is terrible, and they do not know where they are. Just pass to anyone available. I think Lambert will get the sack more sooner than later.
A large percentage of villas debt goes to one person minds. An astute business man he is too old randy. He'll lose **** all on his investments. 80 % turnover to wages ratio.
