...Not seen em play but putting any tactical nous aside, one of, if not the most important skills a manager needs is man-management and motivational skills. Win the dressing room you are 50% there. get them fired up on the pitch and you are 90% there. Many an average team has moved mountains in the Premiership and Championship simply by playing as a team and giving 100% for 90+ minutes. It seems Flicker has this ability and this can go a long way to compensating for some of the shortcomings in quality in the side.
Agree. Fight and spirit alone isn't enough to succeed in the Championship, but it's enough to keep us in it. We just need some luck now. Losing JOB and Daws was not what I had in mind..
I think Mellis will be able to take over from O'Brien easily enough, he would have got another assist on Saturday had Harewood not hit the post from a 1 on 1. Dawson will be hard to replace however, you could now say hes the complete midfielder, gets stuck in, starts attacks, plenty of energy and scores goals. No one else in the squad can do that.
This just came to mind. I do apologise for corrupting this thread. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=oeG9r6HxJgE&desktop_uri=/watch?v=oeG9r6HxJgE&gl=GB
Dawson will be a very big loss to us. I just hope he returns sooner rather than later because he makes a difference.
Disagree. We missed him when he wasn't playing. Both as important as each other. Out of the two I think Perkins is the better one, can take a man on. The problem with Dawson is first pass goes back. Perkins more likely to go forward.
He's more direct, more physical. Perkins relies on intercepting passes and is a more skillfull player for me. Both great though.
