Haven't been to Selhurst Park for a while so is it a decent night out round there or do you have to get across to the better places in London?

We had a good couple of days a few years ago. Funny fella, his mate and myself stopped in Croydon travel Lodge the Saturday night. Plenty of bars around up by the clock tower. Had a good crack with the Palace fans after.

To be fair, though, Croydon is a bit of a shithole. Nowhere near the sheer upper class of Lundwood :D

The immediate areas of Palace aren't great. But Dulwich and Brixton are both close by, and very good in different ways

I'd rather have a night in Helmand than Brixton.

Last time I went to Palace it was eight cans on a 4 hour bus ride home...but it was 1982....Carl Airey first match of season...1-1.

I thought it was pretty cool. Met some good people. If people go and start talking in their loudest Barnsley accents, making words up that even I don't understand, they might get looked at a bit weird..

Yeah you might as well base yourself in Central London and do somewhere like the Old Street/Barbican area

Last time I went Brixton it was horrific at night. Crack of both kinds dirt cheap. Likelihood of being robbed and or seriously hurt.

    Hopefully it's improved a little.

Brixton is a decent night out. Changed massively in the last four/five years, some top places to go boozing.

I stayed around the Crystal Palace sports centre a few weeks ago - not much there to be honest. Few decent boozers but nothing special

True it has but I was down there working last year and there is still an unpleasant undercurrent in places particularly after dark.
