Hazard will finish up with a 3-6 ban, there will be no charges, and the ball boy will end up with a better bank account. That's football.

Opinions and all that. It depends what angle you view it at I suppose, but as far as I am concerned (and I know the ball-boy should have released the ball) Hazard should not be aiming a kick. The fact he clearly connected with the boy makes it worse. I stand by my belief that he should get a seriously lengthy ban.

Hazard kicked the ball from under him, dont know what all the fuss is about.

Only person who should be banned is that little nob for not giving him ball

Apparently Liverpool have put a 10 million pound bid for the ball boy becuase he holds the ball up better than Stewart Downing

MOTD says both apologized to each other and b boy practically owned up to it being deliberate on twitter.

To me it was 6 and half a dozen. Warning lights shouldn't have done it though (if it was a player fallen on the ball and he did that he'd have at least got carded).

Deserved a card though for stupid beardy thing on his face :p

He should try Injury Lawyers 4 U.

They're always advertising for people who've been injured by a Hazard at work.

You are having a ****ing laugh. They most definitely will not appeal.

He'll have the book thrown at him. And rightly so.

And everybody that keeps insisting he didn't kick the lad, only the ball - there's usually a two for one offer on at Specsavers.

There's multiple links to video coverage on this thread. Watch it.

The lad was obviously trying to waste time. Was probably instructed to do so.

Irrelevant. That was for chris foy to note and add time for. Players waste time, fans in the crowd do too.

Eden Hazard acted in a way which was just as immature and petulant as the ball boys own actions. The difference was that he is an adult, a professional footballer who is paid handsomely to do a job which has example setting as part of its criteria. And quite simply he acted violently.

He should, and will be, banned for a significant length of time.

    I think it's funny really.

Bet suff like this back in the day wouldn't have even mattered.

Then again I doubt the player would have done such a thing 20/30 year ago and the boy wouldn't have been a little sh.it.

Ball boy should be there to speed game up and he was blatant cheating.

Hazard did not assault him, he simply tried (and did connect) with the ball that laid underneath the ball boy.

I really do not like most things that are associated with Chelsea........but in this instance I think Hazard is being unfairly targetted.

If anything, Swansea should get the fine, for the ball boy's actions.

After watching the full video (not just the 'kicking') I believe the ball boy got what he deserved.

The lad is 17 and obviously knew what he was doing.

The way he rolled around afterwards is tragic.

Only copying what he's seen on the pitch though.

Pat Nevin on BBC Breakfast - used to like him as a player but he came across as a complete arsehole. So according to him it was all the ballboy's fault and what he did was digusting, but what Hazard did wasn't disgusting! Also he then said - "ballboys time wasting and rolling around on the floor feigning injuring, if it's come to that then that must be stamped out"...oh, so it's ok for players to do it though!

I thought it was hilarious. They should both be made to clean toilets as punishment, starting with mine.

On a less serious note.... Do you know there have been 45,000 avoidable human deaths since this thread began? :)
