Would Jay Tabb be a good loan signing as a replacement for Dawson? Apparently Reading would let him go out on loan

Didn't Ritchie try signing him when we got promoted? Chose Coventry instead.

Be a good signing, but I think he's really similar to Perkins. He'll give 110% percent every game, but he lacks Dawson's ability to take a shot from anywhere. What we need is someone that isn't afraid of taking shot from 30 yards.

Isn't Greening available again? Or does he want too much; or is he too ****?

We had Greening lined up for the rest of the season until Hill was sacked. I think we could probably get him on a free transfer, though would face competition over wages. I tend to think he was more Hill's kind of player than Flicker's.

    Greening? Seriously? Jeez.

Tabb would be ideal. Ideal cover for Bob.

Always liked Jay Tabb, fantastic little player, can't see it happening i'm afraid, same sort of player as Dawson and Perkins so would suit us to the ground

If we signed him he'd have to play in front of Bobby for me.

No point bringing a loan player in as cover. As it stands, Bobby could play there and we've seen Cranie can too. We could be ok.

Neither of them are going to offer what Dawson does though. I know we could use Perkins in that role but then your sacrifcing his energy and tenacity in the more defensive role. I like it when we play two annoying little ******* who don;t leave the opposition alone

I agree mate. Not sure we're going to get many players in who can offer what Dawson does.

If we sign someone on loan they have to play is basically what I was saying. If we don't, we do have some options but they're limited.

To be fair it sounds like Etuhu did pretty well Saturday. And he is your favourite player.

Goes without saying. Him in middle and Nile Ranger up top would be devastatingly good.

We managed ok early doors with just one of Perks/Daws, and Bobby/Cranie holding.

    In the 15 games they've played together (Perks/Daws) we've won just 3.

    Just putting it out there.

Can see Cranie holding and Foster alongside McNulty and Kennedy

Your comparing Diamonds or triangles though. Or summat. i've lost all sense of what we are talking about after that apples thread.

Don't get me wrong, either could do the job but I don't think we will get in the opposition's face as much, which is when I like us best. High tempo and all that
