It be absolute criminal if he doesn't get a new contract! One of the best players I have ever seen, not beacause of his ability, but because he plays with his heart on his sleeve everytime he plays for this club. Gives 110% and helps out in the community... He's just a pure legend!

He needs to start playing, it angers me that he's never in starting 11.

Just listen to that man. In today's era of primadonna mercenary footballers, this type of man just doesn't exist any more. He should be part of this Clubs long term plans. Shame on them, if they let him go

    He'll be here.

He's never been the best player so it makes sense that as he's coming towards the end of his career that he becomes more and more a bit part player.

Wonder if he'd have thought when he was getting all that hammer in 2004 he'd still be here and thought of like he is now...

And from all stick he got in his first season, he just put his head down and rose above it all... He's just so inspirational!

That's fair - the problem is that not every bloke can deal with that type of stick and it just makes it worse.

And he was never regarded as a 'legend' until he cleared that ball off the line v Wednesday a few years ago.

If they can't deal with it they're in wrong profession. You've gotta be able to deal with critism in such a high profile profession, whether that's being a footballer or being a musician. Bobby is so mentally strong and went on to show that the critism didn't get to him. And he's been a legend since promotion season in my eyes. :)

If any player has earned the right to a new contract it is Bobby. I'll be pretty hacked off if the club show him the door at the end of the season.

Oh he never let anyone down but my point being there wasn't this 'cult of Bobby' you see now. That was when his name started to be sung etc etc.

give him a contract bobby has still a lot to offer the team and the young ones coming through i think he would be an asset for the coaching staff once he hangs his playing boots up

I get the feeling he'll be one of the top earners at the club, and he only seems to be back up these days although I wouldn't mind seeing him at the back now we're playing 3 centre halfs.

I think if the club were to offer him a new contract, it would probably be on severely reduced terms, with a few sweeteners such as a coaching role afterwards and testimonial.
