Most people's reaction to snow is completely irrational, we joke about panic buying but so many people do it.

I must admit though, I went out earlier and the roads were completely clear, just happened to look out of the window about an hour after getting home and the main road I live one was completely covered with cars going no more than 10mph...it must have really dumped a load down in a short space of time.

Only relevant snow conversation is match on/off. It'll be on.

    Just don't crash!

Good point actually, they'll do well to get the match on with it falling just a few hours before the game and overnight.

Got quite a bit up here. Couldn't tell the road from the kerb on he way home it was that deep. Or maybes that's what 7 pints does to you.

We'll still get to Hull though!!! You Reds!

Out of interest, u going to Hull?
I'm not panicking, but I have no idea if I'll get there. It's only snow, but it's messing with my weekend.

I'm not panic shopping, or hysterically digging in my street, but I'd like to go to the game. Fact is, snow happens so rarely in this country that we are not cut out for it. So all this nonsense about snow tyres and road clearing like they have in.Canada, The Alpes etc is just silly. At the end of it, none of us know whether the M62 is fit for travel. we won't know til the morning.
That's not anyone being an arsehole ... it's just reality.

Undecided as I'm going to Germany next weekend, might save my money.

The way Britain reacts to snow is a joke, but who's to blame? Driving in snow should be part of the driving test, in my opinion.

All well and good, but no amount of driving training would have got me up the minor incline I couldn't get up.last week.
Snow tyres would have. An ounce of grit would have...but that's the problem... how much should we spend on.something that happens so rarely? This country went four years without any snow not long since so it's hardly surprising were not cut out for itit.

Oh my journey home tonight was fun, especially over the Pennines between Oldham and Holmfirth. Two drivers in particular were complete and utter cocks who nearly caused me a world of misery. The conditions were bad but not impossible by any stretch. Arseholes.

Interestingly the road outside my window is quite manageable.
