Slotted in so good. it was like when a top player comes on for a top club and just slots in and looks class.
he's growing every game. it's just so good, seeing a local lad come through the ranks, who is genuine class. watching him develop into something special. it happens very rarely at our Club. came on yesterday and instantly looked a world beater
It's wasn't like he had a hard act to follow was it? Also, he had a Great experienced player at the back with him in Bobby Hassell. I really do rate Stones and believe he will become a top International.
Re: It's wasn't like he had a hard act to follow was it? Come on. He's been good with whoever he's been with so that really doesn't ring true. Hassell was good. But he's not that good that he can start and make others look good.
Re: It's wasn't like he had a hard act to follow was it? Hee hee, I wasn't expecting any praise for Hassle from you, but you do go out of your way to discredit him. Having Hassel at the side of him can only be good for his development. BTW Stones has had a few iffy games this season, but that's all part and parcel of his development and also being a pro footballer in general as well.
hassell wasn't just good, he was motm by a country mile. given the amount of first team minutes he's had, that just makes the performance even better. anyone questioning his ability, is either stupid or just too stubborn to changed their views
Re: It's wasn't like he had a hard act to follow was it? He's learnt a lot from Hassell though HT. He's been mentoring him. Like him or not, he's a very experienced head.
Re: It's wasn't like he had a hard act to follow was it? No, I said he was MOTM yesterday but you can't say he was the reason for or a reason for stones performance. That's just mad. He's got an ability and a talent that makes him perform like that.
are you suggesting that bobby hassell has not had any influence on john stones' development as a footballer?
Not as much has some make out. He was a very talented player when I first saw him at 16 and I'm sure he wasn't training with first team then. If anyone should take credit from Stones it should be Branson and burton.
What's funny is that a player whom has played for the club for almost 10 years is constanly slagged off by a few brainless idiots on here!
