    They were sniffing apparently. But weren't they league 1/2 or whatever it was called at the time? He was never going to go. Think Davey told them to get stuffed. It was around the time of the 08 cup run, before Hemsworth started coming. Sheff U tried it on too, more recently.

    Back in November

    Barnsley66 & I attended an Evening With Bobby Hassell at the Lamproom Theatre. Matt Murray asked him whether he'd had the opportunity to move from the club at any time. Bobby replied he'd turned down moves to both Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday, even though it would've meant more money to him. He said he recognised & appreciated the fierce rivalry between Barnsley and these clubs & that this had an influence on his decision..

    Didn't he have a op on his knee and missed half of the season.

    Then got stick when playing in midfield because foster made the right back sport his own.

    Hemsworth, the reason you started following a Championship club and not league one club, is largely down to a hardcore of players who have served us well for some time now. Bobby, Fozzie and Luke Steele have done more to keep us in this league than anyone you can mention. You would run at least two of these players out of the club tomorrow, which proves your knowledge of football actually registers as a minus.
