As a footballer with a relatively short career and one bad challenge away from it been over I would suggest that he was mad to turn down a move that would have given him more money

I think we have benefitted from the fact he is consistent but not outstanding, perhaps not good enough to play for one of the 'bigger' clubs in the division. I am not trying to take away the excellent service he has given to the Club both on and off the field and he deserves recognition. A great role model. Leeds and Notts Forest asked about his services that I know of and thats a fact. ComplainQuoteReply
Can I ask a question... Does this Hemsworth kid know how to spell and use grammar? Because it doesn't seem so from what I've been reading. :O
Perhaps He has other principles than worshipping money? Bobby said he loves the club, fans, the town and it's people.
Re: Perhaps That cant be true though mate because, Hemmsy says he only stayed because he was not good enough to move, so therefore there cannot have been any clubs wanting him at all anyway! That is a facty because Hemmsy says so and Tyrone says he was daft to turn a move down, but the he would not have anyone to moan about.
this thread ... Is why I stopped defending Hemmsy. I hate to see anyone get picked on in any walk of society, but when someone courts attention as much as this, and will cling to any spurious bit of information and present it as a "fact" to prove a point, then I lose all sympathy.
That's what I don't understand, thereev was banned and he's not even in the same league as this clown. Baffled.
It's simply not Worth the hassle, no pun intended, mate. All I did was answer the question which was asked.
At what age did Hemsy start "Following" the tarn ? I was 12. Before that it was what my (older by 7 years) brother had followed (Man city n QPR)- ended up an Everton lover). My dad took me to watch tarn v Torquay and 12643 others watched Clarkies reds lose 2-1. Watched em for years after up and darn dale. Lost the will to follow em during the strike (remember that?) but still went to the occasional match. My dad used to go to EVERY home match (including reserves) until he became ill I've not been since 2001 (when I bought a bigger house and priced myself out of going - being self employed in building during a depression has that effect) Still follow the REDS with a passsion ;P Where were you in your formative (growing up) years????? Thats when I (and many other s) formed their allegences . Where were yours ? When did you start following the Tarn? Why? Curious thats all
He won't tell you. I worked it out at 08/09. He doesn't talk about any prior seasons and I don't think he ever saw Heinz Muller play for us. Though he did describe him once as an 'okay keeper'. He likely got swept up by the bandwagon of the cup run. It's not important how or when you get on board with a football club, but he's very cagey about it and regards it as a personal question if you ask.
1908/09 You'd think it with his level of knowledge Knows his stuff about the academy players but spoils it for himself......
