Well spotted, is being part of the spelling and punctuation police your contribution to this thread then?

Not read all this because I can't be arsed. But I don't remember Bobby being within 30 yards of Stones yesterday so an argument that he made him look good is crazy.

Bobby will have taught Stones a lot. But Stones ability is why he is where he is.

And Bobby was man of the match by a country mile.

He is indeed but players are always saying how they learn from the older pros, Stones has said this himself about Bobbledinho. Stones is a better player than the bobster but he doesn't know the game as well. Sir Bob will teach him and Stones will be an even better player for it. Plus, Robert Hassell is a Barnsley legend.

Seeing as your around Hemsie ...when did you start watching/supporting the tarn?

Some people support for years before they get to watch their team - others like me watch em for years then can't watch em for whatever reason but still support/love their team.

John Stones has natural ability and his athletic build has allowed him to come into the championship and at most times look the part. He`s had some wobblers but he`s only a kid.He didnt need branson or burton to coach him but watching the U16s and the other age groups he played in,it was obvious here was a lad that could play football, was athletic enough to be able to get up and down the pitch and he is a RED.He`s built like gerrard was at his age and if he is 1/2 as good as him, in our RED shirt, we`re in for a treat.Yes Hassell has a good effect on him cos they get on and stonsie listens.

One name Hemmsie - Steve Bull

13 Caps for England while playing 3rd tier football with Wolves. Never moved because he loved the club.

If Stones did stay at Barnsley for ten years how does that make him lack ambition? Do you know him personally?

Maybe his ambition is to be part of better things with Barnsley and help the club achieve this in his time here. I for one would commend that and hope he does. I would never begrudge a player leaving to better there career but someone should break the mould and stick it out to see what happens. Who knows what would have become if we'd have managed to keep hold of the Hammill's or Battlefield's??
