I've been past the stadium, but not to a match. It's definitely on my list though!

I'm going to support my club aka Barnsley Football Club.

I agree that how the MK Dons have become is totally wrong, but what's it going to gain having no Barnsley fans there just on the principle by boycotting?

Just another excuse not to watch and just moan about it to me

No it's not. I'm not moaning about anything. I've not moaned about the price, the location, anything. I'm just not going.

'I agree that how the MK Dons have become is totally wrong, but what's it going to gain having no Barnsley fans there'

'I agree that ticket prices are too high and it's totally wrong, but what's it going to gain having no Barnsley fans paying £40?'

At the end of the day they have a bee in their bonnet about it, the majority threatening to boycott have already been to MK Dons maybe twice before and never caushed a fuss. They have heard something and thought I'm going to do that and rather than say I'm going to support the reds they are staying away through sheer stubbornness.

    I went when I was 15.

I think what they did is wrong. I'm not going. I've not said that those that are going are idiots or said anything but it's my choice. I've seen both games we've played in this FA Cup run, it's not an excuse not to go or anything like that. I just don't want to give them a penny.

    You reds.

I didn't know what happened. Thought that'd be quite obvious.

    I know I'm a befuddled, old wally

But what does it matter if someone chooses not to go to the match, for whatever reason? It's their choice as to how they spend their disposable income and spare time & has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else. They're certainly not answerable to other fans, or posters.

First They Came - Martin Niemoller

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
    Then they came for me
And there was no one left
    To speak out for me

Before anyone starts this is a tongue in cheek response to the post and I am not comparing MK Dons to the Third Reich. Well, not completely.

I'm big enough and ugly enough to take the hammer on here, mate. It's entirely other people's decision whether or not to go, won't get me giving anyone hammer for going. I hope we go there and batter 'em.

    You reds.

I boycotted Elland Road last 2 years because of the price - no way was I letting Master Bates pull that stunt. Around 1,500 reds fans did the same - If all away fans did the same he'll hopefully learn a lesson. Having said that, I'll be there at MK Dons to support the reds (40% of my money will end up at Oakwell) but I won't be buying a program or anything inside the stadium. I think that's enough of a protest but others can protest any way they like.

Nar, Simon de Montfort was a French Nobleman from the 12th century. I just remember thinking what a cool name when I read all about him. My family are also descended from french nobility so I thought it would be a good nom-de-plume.
