Can't agree at all there MrC....put himself about showing balls of steel, not overawed by the big names....didn't hide behind Perkins at all as far as I could see, just saw him standing up well to an old pro putting the frighteners on,let the old b*****d punch or nut you, see him sent off and you've done a good job,the bruises have gone in a couple of days and other bullies know you're no pushover......well done Rosey
I see what you're saying but to make anything you have to be prepared to be hurt,he's very young but getting stuck in now will only do him him good,I played rugby for 13 years starting as a 15 yr old in a mans team,I was frightened stiff at first,by the time I was 20 I would be bullied by no one..if they punch you...they get it back..get stuck in with everything you have and every man on the pitch will respect you.
As I recall, Rose refused to shake Shittu's hand straight after the initial incident Not defending Shittu, or Rose for that matter, just saying as I saw it. No doubt that wound Shittu up,which is embarrassing for him considering his years of experience. He should however, have shook Rose's hand at the end of the game.
Long ball forward Shittu tried letting go out for a goal kick, rose went for the header and basically planked on Shittu's head. Shittu took offence and squared up to Rose, Rose then ran to the halfway line making the mouthy gesture with his hand to Shittu who continued to carry on running and pass the halfway line for the 1st time all evening making a bee line for Rose. Danny then papped his pants and hid behind Perkins this all happened in the 95th minute. That's what me and those around me saw anyway.
Not for the first time I am alone in my opinion. Rose was like a headless chicken with a head, which he was lucky to hang on to even though he lost it.
Mr C - don't agree with your posts and opinion on this one. Basically Shittu made himself look a totally un-professional (in fcat one could argue he looked a right ****) in this situation as Rose did nothing wrong at all ie.won the ball. Yes it was in a "dead area" but actually allowed REDS to run clock down a bit. In the end it was that funny, it looked like Frank Bruno chasing Barry McGuigan around......silly! As for Rose "losing his head" that is rubbish. He came on pitch with bags of energy and maybe Flitcroft asked him to put himslef about a bit? Millwall were slow at back and also we had lost our energy up front once Dagnall (and O'Brien) had gone off. Fair enough, Scotland's goal was a cracker at a great time in the game, but he's no bundle of energy at the minute, due to lack of fitness. Rose did a good job when he came on. By the way, was Rose a liability when he played against Burnley and Ipswich?
Oh dear. The lad sure is cocky but he'll need to be given some of our fanbase. I watched the incident and didn't see him hide behind anyone. He also showed maturity in taking the ball up into the corner when he might have gone for glory. Give the lad a break ffs!
I think reffering to stones to compare how rose and he differ is a bit daft. 2 nil up 10 to play get a young keen lad on to run about and chase the opposition down and rush them into a bad pass. Thats the way i saw it and i enjoyed seeing him get stuck in with shittu fair play to him kept his nerve and will be a nightmare for centre backs.
Given the gtime, trying to put the ball out for a goal kick by Rose was admirable, however, how he did it was not. It was reckless (and I reckon a foul) and both players could have been hurt.
