Flicker after the final whistle

    It doesn't seem to have been picked up on here, but when Shittu decided he wanted to fight a young kid after the final whistle, Flicker took it upon himself to escort him off the pitch, they were having a heated discussion all the way to the tunnel at which point Flicker left him and came back to the pitch to applaud the fans. Great work in shielding a young lad and diffusing the situation. The one thing I remember from chatting to Flicker at the end of last season was how big his arms were. He's a good bloke to have your back if it starts to get physical.

    Good post, but could you please clarify who Flicker was escorting off the pitch and having a heated discussion with?

    Was it Rose or Shittu? Your post hints that it was Rose he was escorting.

    Flicker probably threatened to unleash Dawson on to him... Surprised Dawson wasn't waiting in tunnel for him with his crutches! ;P

    Not sure if anyone else saw it, but when O'Brien was closing down their right back (I think) and their keeper to win the throw-in that ultimately led to the goal, when the ball went out for a throw in, Flicker was absolutely loving that effort from O'Brien, just like everyone else in the stadium. Inspirational stuff.

    He also gave Steele a volley after Steele played a goal kick down our right in front of the East stand when Golbourne was stood on the left withnno one within 30 yards of him.
