It will go some way to off-set the losses of 6,000 crowds next season. Economics lessons required on here.
Why, are we going to average 3,000 a game are we? You're right by the way, I haven't got a clue about football finances.
If the club are to be believed in what they've told us, breaking even and keeping the books balanced, why do they need to sell? To me it makes more sense to keep all the quality players to keep us in this league. Relegation will cost us more than £3m
Neither have I. But I know supporter's apathy and disillusion when I see it and the damage that causes. If we can not keep a good player for more that 12 good matches, then we really have to question what we a re paying to see and where we are going as a club.
Stones will be a 10 million + player at some point in his career if he continues to develop like he currently is. The sale must include a sell on clause. Personally I don't see what benefit we are going to get from selling him now though and have said that all along. Another half a season would have only added to his current value regardless of whether we go down or not. The clubs currently sniffing around would still be there in the summer transfer window.
I can't agree. We didn't need to sell so we could have pushed for a much better deal. It might be a good deal in comparison to other deals we've done but our transfer history is nothing to get excited about.
i still cant belive we put this price of 3m on him. 5m and then we will talk... if they wanted him that badly an extra 2m to a premier league club is peanuts.. to us its the world
Look here, as posted on the other thread. By any standards, it's a very good deal. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/t...ansfers_alle_19_default_Abwehr_alle_alle.html
