    What if

    Stones rejects terms and stays.

    Good for team. Would anyone be annoyed we lose out on £3m?

    Personally I want him here and still think we can demand at least that in the summer even if go down.

    maybe we are trying to be a bit clever? Wigan offer around £2m - we know Stones doesnt want to go there so put it out they have bid £3m in order to tempt a bigger offer?

    Stones did us a favour signing that contract. Otherwise we would either be selling him on the cheap or letting a tribunal decide it in the summer.

    what if Everton were to Offer £2 million

    and let us keep him till the end of the season,but Wigan offer £3million and want him right away.Just assuming thats the case which one would you take?

    how about this scenario ref Stones then

    lets assume Stones is going BUT the following is so.

    Everton offer £2 million for Stones but allow him to stay till the end of season.
    Wigan offer £3million but want him right away.

    which one would you all mostly prefer

    Wigan Athletic are making a move for Newcastle United fullback Danny Simpson.

    The former Manchester United full-back has been unable to secure a long-term deal at St Jamess Park and has lost his place to new 5million France international Mathieu Debuchy in recent weeks.

    Simpson has six months left on his Newcastle deal and has been unable to negotiate a new deal with the Newcastle board.

    Wigan are favourites to sign the 26-year-old, who would cost around 500,000. That would enable him to return to his native north west, although a move to London could also appeal.
