    Has he gone then

One thing everyone seems to be forgetting is that if Stones decides not to sign for Wigan then the deal is off. the decision is his. I am sure he will have advisors

Because there's no need for us to effing sell the lad!! He's one of our best players and his services in the battle against relegation are more valuable than a transfer fee!

He sould not be released FULL STOP. Once he fills out (as out last Manager said) he will be a superb centre back. Who shall we be flogging of the acadamy lads next year, Rose, Digby or Clark. No wonder the gates and season ticket sales keep decreasing.

Of course he's gone - how do you think we can afford all these incomers?

Re: Anyone considered there may be a £3m release clause?

I'm not sure who I'd prefer to be running Barnsley Football Club with its multi-million pound turnover. Someone who deliberately tells the paying customers untruths or someone who genuinely hasn't a clue what is in the contracts of the staff. Contracts that he has had drawn up and helped negotiate. I don't mean the fine print, I mean great massive clauses.

To be honest, it's probably the former.

It defies belief. It's also indefensible that the General manager doesn't know what's in the players' contracts.

The club would have thought it was good business at £1 million!

The Don still thinks he's at Scunny. Or the Co-op. As for the owner.....

John Stones was not the finished article

We are replacing him with a player with 6 years Premiership experience, you might not even notice he has gone. Don't forget he was only one of eleven players on that pitch the other night, it is disrespectful to the other ten to think that we had been a one man team.

    Re: The stones deal is

the add on is martinez been allowed to pick a season ticket holder at random to go round and give a good dry arsing just to finish off the humiliation.

If that 2m is true then i feel like we are been led by idiots. Whats the point? Round and round we go, never learning. Don can get ready at that next meeting - if he dare have one after this.

cant get my head round this at all.

    idiots

I would think it's exactly the same. Stones' agent will be telling anyone who asks the deal that we accepted from Wigan.
