At the drivel I read on this board, 'the don this' 'the don that' 'sack the board' what a set of ****ing jap's eyes you are.

So what if its undisclosed, why does everybody think it's for a figure less than 3m, why not think it might be 3.5m or more?? Sad sad people, you can't wait for news like this can you!

Grown men on a witch hunt...... Tossers

When we all know there will be no reinvestment in the squad as there very rarely is, why make it undisclosed then eh? Our biggest supposed transfer out for many a year and they won't tell us how much? It couldnt possibly be cos weve been loved again could it? surely not eh? There's a big stinking rat at Oakwell cos I can smell it from fookin Lincoln lad!

I not give a **** about undisclosed, Im more bothered that theres a fee at all, as I dont think we should have sold him.

But if for some reason we had no choice then he should have been loaned back, we held all the cards yet we dont play them

You don't have to defend the club to the hilt on every single issue. That really is sad.

Well said! I think this time we set our stall out. They Rejected initial bids and held out for the right price... Rumoured to be £3m... Good prospect but unlikely to stick around when big clubs come knocking. £3m is big money for our club, loan market opens next week who's to say we won't bring him back on loan or funds won't stretch to bring in a couple of quality loan signings to keep us up!!!

Get behind Flicker, the team and the board!!! Together as one!

Oreight, folk do do that, ill admit I overreact at times. It's only cos I care passionately about barnsley fc and am thoroughly disgusted in the cloak and dagger dealings of our supposed board. What happened to realignment with the fans a few weeks back? Dons lack of clarity on such a big issue earlier on the radio and now this undisclosed nonsense has pissed me and I suspect many other reds fans right off. Realignment my fookin arse!

To be fair there's plenty more slating the club on every single issue than defending them. Now that *is* sad.

Who's to say another academy lad won't push on and step into stones shoes... This time last year he hadn't seen any first team action. What a difference a year makes.

I try not to but when people continue to constantly slag the club off then it gets my back. We're not the only team to sell players for a fee that fans think isn't enough but top and bottom that's the predicament we find ourselves in.
Maybe I should slag the team and board off once in a while then I might fit in eh.....

I'd be surprised if anyone had slated the club on everything.

Someone once posted on here that stead is supposed to be better, I presumes he must be younger. Then someone else said they were same age.

So maybe he isn't as good :)

I'll be willing to bet you money that we haven't got 3m up front.

maybe offer your own opinion on whether or not the actual sale was right, wrong etc and if you think the Don has done good business, instead of slagging off other peoples opinions

Not read too much on here tonight but I can understand people being unhappy - we didnt have to sell Stones as he had years left on his contract - but be fair a move to Everton is a dream move for the lad so if they came in with a sensible offer we are right to take it

THe problem is the club have insisted again in keeping the deal terms secret and we know from past experience when the fee does leak out its usually for a lot less than most of us hoped, Personally I will be surprised if we have got much more than 1.5 million now maybe rising to 2 million on appearances which if this is the case is a steal.
If its of the order of 3 million with a cut of any sell on the club have done a good deal - if its half that its pants down time again. the fact we dont know and we have been had many times before makes most of us suspect the worst.

Not calling for the board out (over this issue anyway) but we have had better negotiators in the past than we have now

    How's about everyone grows up.
Good player, offer from Prem club, he wants it (fool if he doesn't) we can't turn it down, low crowds, threat of relegation, not exactly cash rich.....
The kid is going to go, end of.
Only point I will make..........he ain't walking into 1st Team so, loan him back to us for rest of season, as Flick said the other week,....not seen that mentioned but it has been for Butland !!
If he is not with us on loan then that is the only bit of bad business.

Thats my main gripe that we didn't insist we was loaned back. Don says they want him for first team

they need him in 1st team.........piss poor negotiation on our part. They seem to be doing pretty well so far this season. Stones will do better in a relegation scrap playing every week as opposed to sitting on the bench or playing a few minutes.
Not his fault, Everton is a fantastic move but come on guys having gone public on any deal has him loaned back to us for season........then not following it through thats just weak.
