    Re: Sorry mate, but

I have been waiting 30 years to get inside those front doors mate and I can't wait. If they offered me a conservator's position I would probably take it. But they would have to break the news to Joanna.... That would have to be a clause in my contract. :nails:

Re: If the club's desperation to keep him

More likely his agent wanted him to leave so he could bag a nice big percentage.

Nothing to do with his agent mate.

I reacted to the sale much like everyone else. Emotionally charged, not very rationally and based on what I wanted. The day after I've done a few things, I've listened to don rowing, I've listened to John stones and I've listened to flicker. My view is much clearer for that. I believe flicker and don. I think he's asked to leave. The witch hunters will want to think differently. To accuse don of lying and claiming cryne should go, is quite frankly, shameful. If anything, im slightly disappointed with John stones, or at least the advice he's had. We're 3m+ to the good, back in a very strong financial position, have strengthened our squad and have an incredible young manager. I'm positive again

I put myself in this fantasy position a lot when I have had a few beers, and have done many times over the past 20 years - I am the best young striker in the country, and I play for Barnsley Football Club. Living the dream? Absolutely. For me, scoring goals for Barnsley is the thing that dreams are made of. And I'm not even from Barnsley, I was born closer to Leeds and grew up in Lincolnshire. But that's beside the point. In my heart, I stay with Barnsley for my entire career, whacking in goal after goal in front of a half-full ponty end. But is that really what would happen? I mean, really?

Absolutely not. But he's an 18 yr old lad who's been groomed into that position by our Club. He's got the world at his feet and we needed him for 3 more months. Was that really too much to ask?

I try to be positive & optimistic over the future

And I get this flak. I think I'll just be be a miserable, old git in future. It's probably the safest bet.

I mean who would leave their current jobs for better conditions and a huge pay rise.
