Blaming Don

Radio Sheff asked Flitcroft if we'd got a good deal for Stones which he replied it was a great deal with add ons as well.He also said he had spoke to Patrick Cryne every day and had hung on until we got the price the club wanted.It seems to me Patrick as the owner holds all the aces and rightly so.

 

Then why the **** did the don come on the radio last night and talk a load of ********? If he didn't know about the full details of the deal he should have declined to be interviewed, full stop. Yet again he got some reds backs up and made himself look a bit silly. Speaking personally, of I'd had known the deal included a decent sell on fee when he's sold I probably wouldn't had lost my wrag. The don. A pr nightmare!

 

Why shouldn't he come on Radio Sheffield he's the mouth piece for the club but does he make all the decisions at Oakwell on his own,I don't think so.

 

Then why no word on the sell-on clause in the contract? could it be he didnt know or perhaps it just slipped his mind. I'm sorry, but if you know your going to be doing a bit of public speaking, especially concerning the sale of stonesy, you do your homework and cover the bases. You don't give half the details and piss folk off! Now if he wasn't aware of the contract details and the sell-on fee, he shouldnt have come on the radio at all as surely he could make a calculated guess what he was going to be asked.

In fairness when they spoke with Mr Rowing Stones was still a Barnsley player,he just said that Wigan and Everton had had bids accepted.Probably a bit premature to talk about the finer details of the deal.I just feel he takes all the flack when there's obviously people above him pulling the strings.
