If the BFC management are reading on here, may I make the following point. We have just taken in 3 million plus 350,000 for Davies. Can we now invest a bit into the ground and the supporters. Can we have a New Scoreboard, and sky in Ponty end plus a drink if we want one . Or is that expecting too much, I think you know it is not.

Why do we need a new scoreboard?

We're never going to score enough goals to lose count are we, lets be honest.

It's money that could be better spent elsewhere.

A bar in the ponty though would increase revenue though.

Scoreboard and Ponty bar as quick as a Leeds takeover

    'Matchday experience'.

Plus I don't want our club looking like some amateur outfit from the pub leagues.

A scoreboard should increase revenue as well through advertising

I'd bet that a new scoreboard would generate more income for our club than starting to sell beer in the Ponte.

£500k for an LED scoreboard. What do you want, a scoreboard or a new player? You decide

    It's not £500K at all.

The club placed an order for a decent replacement which is paid over 10 years coupled with an advertising backed business plan but the order was put on hold when the takeover interest happened. I'm not sure why it still on hold though.

To be fair I went for a 60ft Jumbotron. We're not getting one of them then?

Not to mention 150k or so from the Cup we've made so far.

We met up with some mates from Blackpool in Seasiders Bar (really for home supporters only and is attached to the main stand/offices at the back of the goal).

It was a very simple layout, nothing special........but did the job of allowing fans to socialise together, within the club.

BFC have plenty of space around Oakwell and should consider using some of this dead space to create a Supporters Club (don't anyone tell me Preedy's Bar is acceptable cos it aint).

Really could not see this costing more than £500K to be honest......it's just construction work as we've already got the available space.

You need to be a member (or pay £2 with a member); it's not big enough; it doesn't allow kids in............need I go on?

I look at this a bit like I do ticket prices..............ie. keep it simple so no membership and allow kids in if accompanied by adult.

i agree they should offer free, or vastly reduced membership. unlikely to happen til next season though, due to those who've already paid. i went in and it felt big enough to me. obviously not big enough to hold huge amounts of people. as for kids being allowed in...fine with that, as long as i don't get tapped on the shoulder to 'watch my language in front of children'

i just think we could make much better use of it at next to no cost.

I take it you weren't posting on here when we got quotes, take 400k of your figure, and it pays for itself in no time with the marketing.

And Preedys couldn't be further away from the social club the supporters were wanting to bring back.

Although I'd like a new scoreboard. I'd prefer it to potentially fund a quality signing or loan signing.

The current scoreboard does the job of a scoreboard for me.

Not saying I don't want a scoreboard, just think we need more fans in Oakwell before we work in the stadium.

Not sure how a new one adds to the matchday experience though, its a scoreboard and doubt we can't afford match day tv like premiership clubs.

Walsall (a), last game of the playoff season. Their social club was absolutely spot on. Cavernous room, home & away all in there no bother. Kids allowed, decent ale. I could go on.

The existing scoreboard is Crap. Half the LED Lights are not working . No spares as it was obsolete when we got it from America. So lets have a new board. Another point is that it is useless and you cannot read it on a good day. That is when the lights are not on the blink. Come on management the year is 2013 not 1943 as for Sky inside the ground what is the reason we have not got that. The idea is to get back to us all being together, so lets get on with it. The quote was 100,000
