    Gazza without doubt the most talented. Also liked Robson, Butcher, Lineker, Hoddle, Brooking, Francis, Le Tissier, Keegan, Waddle, Beardsley, Beckham. Agree with ESL about Cole too, he has been real top quality for years.

    If the previous incumbents who managed England built a time around him rather than the Gerard and Lampard will it won't it work experiment we'd have performed a lot better.

    Clemence as well. He was so unlucky not to have won 100 caps. Not quite as good as Shilton but had their careers hadn't clashed he would have won a lot more caps.
