So, this 37-year-old pub landlord reckons that despite having been stabbed when set upon without warning he then "fought off four attackers" using Aikido he learned as a teenager "without dropping his fish and chips...which he managed to keep in one hand the whole time without dropping anything."

    Unfortunately there were no witnesses.

I'm no martial arts expert but I think if four people were to attack me and their opening gambit was to stab me with a screwdriver then I'd probably weigh it up and decide that having another hand with which to defend myself was worth putting my chips down for.

Second rule of martial arts, finish your opponents off whilst keeps said chips warm enough to eat
