Airbags went off and winded me, both cars a complete write offs.

    We were both extremely lucky.

I've only got Whiplash, really hurt my wrist and chest is still killing form the airbag and my knees are fooked from where the car crumpled at the front.

    Other bloke was completely fine.

Could have been so much worse.

    Very, very lucky.

    You Reds.

Cars can be replaced, people can't. Glad you weren't seriously injured, I'm sure your knees will get better and I hope you've not hurt your w**king wrist

Now the important question. was it your fault?

    Cheers, mate.

I was only in an oly 106 that's about 14 years old. The airbag saved my face though definitely.

Without the seatbelt I would have been ******.

    Always ware one!!

It is the w*nking wrist :/

And I don't think so, I believe the bloke came through the light at the very end of amber if not red.

Oh dear. Well I'm sure if you're struggling then the full ponty will come round and 'give you a hand'

Where did it happen? If he came through on red then I would think it would be clearly his fault, if it was at the end of amber then from looking at the junction/area from above on google maps you might be able to find some evidence in the layout of the road to point the blame at him.

I'm going to do research on the area and see hwat I can see.

When something like that happens its so hard to remember though.

I remember turning right then a massive noise and a lot of pain. Trying my best to remember what actually happened just before though.

I'm not the kind of person to put a claim in though.

Had two crashes in my driving life, both should have killed me, got off with virtually no injuries.

First one on Woodhead Pass, late at night, frozen roads that BMBC should have gritted, went to go round corner, car went straight on into the moor. I somehow went off at the only bit that was level, to left and right it was a huge ditch.

Second one was the road to Glossop just off Woodhead Pass (notice a pattern), driving too fast for wet conditions, big truck appears round corner, slam on brakes, slide right into his wheel then bounce off into the rockface at other side of road.

Both cars were write offs, but I had cuts and bruises and thankfully I learnt my lesson about Woodhead, respect it.

    All you can do.

Everyone makes mistakes, some people never have accidents but drive like idiots all the time. Might be the one time you lapse in concentration and thats when it can happen.

I only went to turn right like you do 1000's of times and thta happened.

Glad you were unharmed both times, sound like you've been lucky too!

    Cheers lad!

To be honest I'm not sure. Think it was a new Renault estate of some sort. I could be wrong though.

Shame, could have been a Porsche or summert, add a bit of glamour to the story. Always a morale lifter if the other car is expensive.

    Nope no glamour in this.

Just out of interest, what happens if you hit, say, a new Lamborghini compared to an old Rover insurance wise?

Insurance pays, you can't decide what you hit or what hits you.
