Even if it was a burglar, 3 bullets in the head is hardly self defence. It's more like a gangland execution or a Metropolitan Police terror enquiry.

Police are saying alcohol was involved.

"it turns out the suspect was found to be absolutely legless"

    Sorry.

I know it's Valentines Day but he really shouldn't have got which load to shoot at his girlfriend wrong.

People are surprised he didn't stab her instead considering how good he is with blades.

He hasn't got a leg to stand on.

Roses are red, violets are glorious, never sneak up on Oscar Pistorious.

    Etc etc etc.

It must have been an accident. Why would anyone deliberately shoot an FHM cover girl?

Re: If the case of Rudi Visagie the ex-Springbok who shot his daughter...........

I read that Visagie shot her as the car was actually being driven away from the house. Not sure how that can be construed as self defence. Obviously he didnt know it was his daughter which is tragic but I'm not sure a legal system should basically say its acceptable to shoot someone who drives off in your car

Re: If the case of Rudi Visagie the ex-Springbok who shot his daughter...........

Under the apartheid government is was considered acceptable to shoot someone protecting their own property, but that law was later repealed. However, from what I understand in the Visagie case, whilst he was considered to have acted negligently, it was ruled that by shooting his own daughter he had been punished enough, and the decision was taken to drop all charges. Very sensible in my opinion, how he can carry on living in anyone's guess.

Ah, I wondered if that was the case. Glad to hear shooting someone over a car is now illegal though!

In the light of the state of things in the USA & this I'm just glad we have sensible gun laws here...

Surprised no one else thinks he found out about her cheating on him. Would make a lot more sense. Crime of passion.

Surely Oscar Pistorius isn't the first man to wake up legless on Valentines day and shoot all over his girlfriends face whilst imagining she was someone else?
