It starts at 10:35pm and finishes at 11:50pm on ITV

That's 75 minutes in total
12 minutes will be given to the 3 minutes of adverts every quarter of an hour, leaving 63 minutes

There's four games to cover so that should be just under 16 minutes for each match, so let's say 15
10 for the highlights, 5 for talking...

I'll have a tenner on us being the last and getting covered for about 3 minutes, less time than the adverts will be on.

So I sat around for an hour and 15 minutes for us to be the last and to have 8 minutes of coverage.

5 minutes of the highlights I'd already seen online in the exact same edit and 3 minutes of Flitcroft's name being forgotten and some general talk about why clubs change managers. Great work ITV!

Driving home from Birmingham listening to BBC 5 Live, Mark Pougatch setting up his live interview with the gaffer....

"Let's speak now to the Barnsley manager David C1it..., er, Flitcroft..."

I would have broken down after saying that. I was laughing at the Arsenal highlights when the commentator said "Arsenal have been penetrated" and then on came a shot of what looked like Wenger pretending to do a sh*t

 

Accidentally turned Sky box off so didn't record. Persevered with itv player version and all adverts. So basically didn't show any more attacks than our three goals.

Whatever Robinson thinks, Smith just went in with the elbow to the ribs intentionally so was a red.

When that third hit the net and crowd celebrated was quite emotional!

 

Here's to a Barnsley vs. Oldham FA Cup final. That would shut them all up.

 

Should give the ITV ad-sales dept a headache or two.

 

Unfortunately it wouldn't though - we'd just get endless column inches (oo-er) about how the cup is devalued and how the big clubs don't take it seriously any more, otherwise how would small clubs get through so far. It's an unwinnable battle, I'm afraid, we've just got to enjoy the on-pitch and the moral victories and set aside any hope of media recognition other than the usual condescending twaddle. When I talk to mates who are proper fans of proper clubs, though, they know what it means.
