Third Round Proper winners (32) £67,500
Fourth Round Proper winners (16) £90,000
Fifth Round Proper winners (8) £180,000
Sixth Round Proper winners (4) £360,000
    Semi-Final winners (2) £900,000
    Semi-Final runners-up (2) £450,000
    Final runners-up (1) £900,000
    Final winners (1) £1,800,000

Good boost to the coffers already with the prize money earned.

I wonder how far we had budgeted for? Probably 4th round so the £180k is welcome.

£1.8 million (plus the other rounds' winnings) is not a great amount of money for winning the FA Cup.

Maybe not but we also get 45% of the gate for every game, home or away. And extra tv revenue even just for highlights for getting through the rounds.

We might even get a live game for the QFs...

Either way the balance sheet is getting ever healthier.

I know what you mean but every little bit helps.

I was surprised that it was only £180k for winning yesterday, but at least we also get a share of the gate plus the gate income from the next round at least.

All these extra bits can't hurt but it is depressing to think that the £180k prize money is probably not far off the weekly wage bill.

If Barnsley won the cup the prize and tv money would be a minimum of just over 4million, and thats before taking into account gate reciepts, improved standing as a club and the value of the media exposure and the champions league money that comes with it.

Our weekly wage bill is nowhere near 180k a week

Yes, I appreciate there's all the add-ons (gate money, tv revenue, possibly Europe etc), but thinking that this is arguably the best domestic Cup competition in the world, £1.8 million is peanuts. Wonder how the big Prem League teams view it?

From company accounts our total wages & salaries to 31 May 2012 was £6,956,188.

Equates to £133,772 per week so yes I was a bit out but not too far off.

Player changes have probably moved it a bit admittedly.

Don said that if we beat Burnley in the third round then we should break even. We've won two further cup ties plus we've sold Stones and Davies, so the accounts for this financial year should look very healthy. I hope we spend it wisely.

I am a bit confused about how much we win if we win the 6th round tie

6th Round winners get £360K - but also semi final losers get 450K - does that mean if we win the quater final we are guaranteed at least £810K

    Re: You'll have to

The FA choose who to give the champions league places to and they chose to ignore the champions of the FA cup in favour of giving it to the fourth placed team in the premiership because they were driven by greed and wanted to keep the 'big four' happy so they gave them the places rather than giving it to worthy champions purely to keep hold of their power at the top
