I've nicked a 4G SIM and phone from work for some testing and sat on Dodworth Road I'm getting pretty decent 4G coverage - downloads of about 14mb per second. Just thought I'd share.
Was quite surprised after moving to ee at Christmas to find 4G working upstairs in my house. Have found it available in various places in Barnsley. I didn't know Barnsley was on the second tranche of town/cities to be upgraded?
Neither did I mate! I'm assuming it's because we're in between Leeds/Sheffield that increased coverage for them has just made it available in Town centre. When you check the coverage checker it does show low availability but I've tried it across Town yesterday and it worked really well.
Most of the time I can't even get 3G! Seems to connect as 3G and the moment I do anything it drops off and displays H+
Ive been quite impressed in the differenc since ditching the iphone and swapping to EE. Not sure which of the two has given me the biggest gain.
Maybe I should have done a search before.... http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-s2-international/457936-diffrence-between-h-3g.html Seems that H+ is faster than 3G, it's a form of 3G! And there was me thinking it was 3G dropping and I was losing speed! Doh!
