It is highly likely that category 1 will be season ticket holders, with or without upgrades for those with kids or OAP season tickets. That means that the bulk of the people who post on here will be able to get a ticket. Of course this means that many people who last followed us away at Wembley, Anfield and the Millenium Stadium will get priority over many who go most away matches, but that's life. A line has to be drawn somewhere and, like it or not, the season ticket holders will always take priority over the casual supporter as they are guaranteeing their attendance throughout the season and, most importantly, paying for all their tickets up front, meaning the club have the money to spend during the summer. However, many season ticket holders won't want to go. My dad, for starters, won't be bothered and I'm not even sure whether I am going to go myself. So there will be plenty of people asking to borrow season tickets so their casual fan mate can go. Also, if it is allowable, there will be people trying to upgrade unused junior tickets for their mate. And if the second category is for those with certain stubs, season ticket holders who have already bought a ticket with their season ticket voucher will have the chance of a second ticket, which will be used for mates, wives, etc. So could we just have one thread re the ticketing (which will be deemed a fiasco whatever system the club comes up with, because they cannot please everybody) and ask anyone not to join in if they have asked to use someone's season ticket or matchday tickets, or if they are planning to upgrade child tickets, etc. I would say that the people who most deserve tickets for the game are as follows (in this order): Season ticket holders who go to every (or most) away game Pay on the day fans who go to every (or most) home and away games Season ticket holders who went to the Burnley game Season ticket holders who went to the Hull game Season ticket holders Pay on the day fans who have 15 home or away ticket stubs Pay on the day fans who went to the Burnley or Hull game As many people will be in multiple categories, and as I reckon only 2/3 (if that) of season ticket holders will actually want to go there should be enough tickets for all the above to get one. The only thing that will stop this is people abusing the system for their mates, etc to go. Of course, the club will be blamed by those who deem themselves worthy of a ticket who didn't get one, but if the system wasn't abused there woud be no problem. Therefore it would be good if the moaning on here was left to people with genuine reasons to compain (i.e. anyone in the above categories who don't get tickets) who weren't involved with abusing the system to either get a ticket or get their mate a ticket.
Can I have yours and you dad's season ticket stubs for a couple of mates who haven't been since play off final (championship one). Ta ****!
That's very nice of you to think of me mate, much appreciated! A prime spot in front of the telly is the best I can hope for!
