I couldn't make it to Oakwell last night. I just wondered how Hammill played in the 15 minutes or so, and what was the reaction from BFC fans when he came on?
He got a more boos than applause. As for how he played, after he came on the field I can't remember seeing him.
He was rubbish, to be honest, but then they'd lost all heart by that time. Didn't seem to know where he should play. A few half-hearted 'greedy *******' chants, but thankfully they never took off.
If you boo him you should boo every player we ever sell. Mental. **** myself that they were going to put him on the left wing...
Got more boos than cheers. Beating up female paramedics won't have helped his reception. He was terrible when he came on and didn't seem to know where he was supposed to be playing. He just drifted aimlessly around the field.
No room for sentiments on a night like that. I booed, I jeered and yeah, I like to think I played my part in quashing his confidence for the last 15 minutes or so...
Surprisingly booed, as everyone says they would have him back in a second. Not exactly encouraging him to drop salary if the opportunity did come. His arms and legs appeared to move as fast as they ever did, he just didn't cover as much pitch. As Dyson said though, still scary when you know what he's capable of.
There was booing when he came on the pitch and then when it was announced who was coming some people (including myself) applauded him. Wasn't much either way really.
Yeah it's scary what he's capable of drunk in the company of females out doing there job trying to help people.
Me too, one of the best players to wear a Barnsley shirt in recent years. Needs to come under Flicker's wing and restart his career....
He hardly beat them up. He lashed out drunk and semi-concsious by all accounts and felt pretty awful and ashamed of himself. He was completely in the wrong and you'd hope he's learned by it, but try to keep a bit of perspective on the whole incident. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-20414641
I booed, but sarcastically, I'd love to have him back - can't see a deal being done both because of salary and the fact that wolves will see us as relegation rivals
He was non-existant. The booing surprised me but each to their own, I personally hold no grudge though.
