im not , from what i can gather though if its been on radio 1 or came from x factor... that constitutes the brits ****fest. enough said.
Mumfords won it... The category included Muse, Alt J? (I think that's what they're called?), The XX and saving the 'best' till last... One Direction! It's laughable!
If you use the Brits to judge the vitality of the British music scene you will come up disappointed every time mate. Mine is the first generation who are cooler than our kids. Even they know their bands are ****. The bird from the Bodyform ad is the most interesting thing I've seen tonight. If she made a record, I'd buy it.
I think you will find it was MY GENERATION the was the coolest. We knew back in the 70`s that the Ramones and the Clash were cool !!!
You're judging all this generation's music by what's popular as though nothing ***** was popular in whatever your generation is.. Plenty of incredible music around these days if you look for it.
There you go..get stuck into that

The best Brit Awards moment ever came when the KLF recruited Extreme Noise Terror to perform with them on a ludicrous thrash metal version of their chart pop hit "3AM Eternal". KLF mailman Bill Drummond then fired blanks from a machine gun above the heads of the bemused audience. Anyway, music is certainly not dead. Nowadays it's easier than ever to find great new stuff. This week I've been really enjoying an album called Time Capsules II by an artist called Oberhofer. Quirky pop. Quite Modest Mousey in places. Good stuff.
The Brits prove that in Britain we make ***** music and have done for years. Never heard of Alt J but that must be one if the shittest band names ever.
Check out My Brightest Diamond, Prinzhorn Dance School, The Magnetic North, St. Vincent, Parquet Courts, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Savages....enough to be getting on with..
Coincidentally, your last sentence is what is wrong with modem music, despite it only being an advert....
I thought there might be some explanation behind it but it still comes across as a boring name. At least we've got out of that phase where the next scene band was called The "Somethings". That got old quickly.
