How was that not a foul for us when they scored? Blatant and significant elbow/forearm in the back of our defender by their goalscorer took him clear into the box, round Steele and he scored. Looked like a foul surely?
Dagnall goal created by a fabulous whipped in cross by Rory Delap who was recovering an over hit corner. Wonderful cross and an unbelievable header. This cannot be the same Chris Dagnall who was doing his best to emulate the "Lee Glover I will never, ever score a goal for Barnsley" story. All I can say is thank goodness it is February already cos if he had been doing this kind of stuff before Christmas he would have been snapped up in the transfer window.
Mellis goal created by a sublime bit of skill from Jason Scotland. He took it down, spun and played a quick and accurate pass to Mellis in a crowded area. Lovely tuck into the bottom corner.
Steele one on one save towards the end was a match winner.
Looking forward to seeing the full match highlights - I know we weren't so good early on but that must have been right up there with the all time Battling Barnsley performances surely?

Never a foul for me, would have gone made if it was the other way round. Poor from Foster in the first place not coming across quicker and putting the ball into the west stand.

Agreed - great cross by Delap, said that on the night who brilliant it was!! Looked a lot better header on the video than it did from the ponty! It was O'Grady who turned well and picked out Mellis not super sub Scotland.

The Steele save was at 1-1 wasn't it? Or was there another near the end that I am forgetting?

You've not mentioned their effort that was 6 inch over the line then...

Agree Fraser, it wasn't a foul and Foster would expect to do to better, but I have to say watching it back the pass was exquisite and seemed to gather pace which caught him out.

And it was O'Grady who laid it off for Mellis. Good quick feet though

Nah, no need to mention the "Frank Lampard non-goal moment" :D

It was second half with us 2-1 up - can't tell the timing cos it was part of the highlights. Might have been the same guy who scored - turned a defender in the middle of the goal but scooped a shot at Steele rather than hammering it and the keeper made a great stop

Apologies - O'Grady not Scotland. Nice to have two big forwards who can do those kind of brilliant things in the box - either scoring themselves or setting someone else up

I am convinced it was at 1-1. I remember discussing how important it was with Mario. Maybe I was confused in the tension and mayhem.

That save was at 1-1, pretty sure it was.

Agreed mate, dreadful defending, but the lad tucked it away very well from a tight angle, similar to Daggers on Saturday. World class save from Steele in the second half.
