They changed the rules this season. If you get relegated this year it is straight to oblivion not League 1.
The biggest point I would take from that is that Flicker is fully expecting to be here next year. His contract is either longer than the end of the season or he is anticiating signing for longer at the end of the season. Great news!
if we stay up (which i think we will) and BFC do not offer him a new GOOD contract (remember what they were offering butcher who no way would have done what flickers done with the same players) then they might as well call time on running bfc. I don't think they would be so stupid though. As soon as we are mathematically safe i expect an announcement the day after. At the moment no reason to rock the boat.

Lets hope it means Scott will be getting a two year extension no later than the summer so he's under contract for the next three years. It would be suicidal to let his contract run into it's final year as come January bigger clubs will be sniffing for a bargain.

Dont think it will happen. They like the 1 year rolling contract option. And it actually makes sense. If a manager/player wants to leave he will leave no matter what contract is in place. And if it went tits up 1 year compo is a lot better than 4. I know there is the compo if someone took flicker but i think the cost v risk is less with the 1 year option. Plus its always 1 year - no less.
