A lot of Barnsley fan's refused to go to MK Dons due to principal and dislike Man City for 'Ruining Football' and 'Buying The Title' some of those fans did boycott MK but the very same fans who dislike City are now bragging because they have a ticket to watch a game involving the very same Man City they have slated since last May. Do you like me think those fans are hypocritical ******??
Blivy It could sell out, or be very close. The Leeds and Watford games were nearly sell outs, say a fraction short of 47.000, so by next week, I expect this game to be near as well.Fans who don't have season tickets, and don't go to most games seem to be going to these games.
Hello Alan, Is there any restrictions on taking flasks/sarnies into the ground, do the stewards search bags/back packs. Will be bringing our 6 year old grandson and there is no way I'm going to feed him the ***** that's sold at football grounds etc. Cheers Pal.
I'd like to know if we're alright to stand too. I'm in lower tier and it seems that most stand there anyway, but would be good to know what the stewards at the Etihad are like. Just cause there was that announcment at Everton last night about 'persistant standing being a health and safety risk'
Worsbrough red I think the stewards take it like this, .... if a block of fans stand as a whole say 1/4 of an hour before the players come out, they arn't going to say sit down. However.... if half the block sit down and half stand up, and some start giving it the " I can't see " to the stewards, they might have to do something about it. Leeds stood up for the 90, Poznan the 90, The Rags, Chelsea the list goes on, Blackpool sat down, and so have numerous others. Tier 2 is a bit different because of the gradient of the stand, a lot sit, others have stood for the 90, Chelsea and Spurs this season have stood up there for the 90. Stewards are ok in general as long as your not acting like a crackhead, just normal support etc, I believe the stewards are about average to good...... say 7/10. the iffy ones have the words SHOWSEC on their backs.
Towe'd Man I think you will be searched if you have bags / rucksacks etc, even the City fans get searched with these. As far as I know your ok with flasks and sarnies. They will however take a plastic bottle off you, or if not, confiscate the bottle top. So, in other words if your grandson want's to take a plastic bottle of coke for example, depending who's searching you, expect problems .
Cheers for update . Be good to think we generate some atmosphere which will Mean can't sit on hands for 90 mins!
Funnyfella Everton is the worst away stand in the country...... a sh.t hole. I know the ground saftey officer at City gave up a few years ago trying to get people to sit down on the South Stand lower. Upper is a bit more iffy, but if you all stand. ther's not much they can do really.
Cheers pal. I prefer to watch my football stood up. Why i believe there should be a separate section for fans wanting to stand at football grounds.
Fired A.A. is on the back row as far as i can remember, someone I know is on BB in the South Stand for ordinary league matches and tells me they are very close to the back. Bit of a claustraphobic view at he back of level one because of the overhang, but still not bad.
TEVEZ123 How do you think the game will go. Don't mind you being bluntly honest, if you think you'll tear us a new arsehole then we don't mind hearing it Personally think that our more recent record of visits to City proves it's a difficult place for us to go, and I don't fancy the chances of our back line against the likes of Aguero, Silva and Tevez who I expect will all play. Seen as though it's City's only real chance of silverware this season, you'll be desperate not to let us do what we did to Liverpool and Chelsea a few years ago, and I think you'll run out comfortable 3-1 winners. Although I do think we will cause you problems at times, the work rate of Perkins and Dagnall will be unrivalled on the day I reckon, and Harewood and Delap's big game experience could give us a fighting chance of at least a replay. I just think we'll get caught out at the back, and we seem to have lost the ability to defend set pieces again. A win against Bolton on Saturday might give us that belief going into next weeks game, but I suppose we've got to stay level headed. Shame Ballotelli has left, I fancied our defense against him, I think a lot of people can't see past his personality, but I suppose you could give an honest opinion being a genuine City fan. All the best.
