Nothing against the lad per se.

I'm sure he has technical ability if he's at manure.

But can anybody tell me exactly what he brings to our side. Or any side? Scared of a tackle, hides away from receiving the ball, not that quick. Tall but weak in the air.

Fair enough he's only played twice but central midfield is the one area we are well covered for.

It's lost on me. I'm sure somebody will correct me.

Granted he's not pulled up any trees so far, but it's early days and he's highly rated so i'm sure he will get better.

Are we talking about the same player because I've seen no evidence of that. He's had a steady start, looks keen to get involved and do well.

Sorry, appears to have a heart like a pea, not up to the scrap that is on it's way.

If he grows one, then we will have made a real player for Fergie.

The Posh fans told me not to get my hopes up, so I didn't.

    I'm glad.

I'm not sure we are mr c because the player I'm talking about didn't look too keen to get involved on Saturday. Opinions and all that.

And to answer another response - if he's good enough for fergie why is he not in the team at old trafford?

He may develop into a good footballer but he clearly is not ready for a scrap and he's not hugely creative, and so in midfield I'd pick Perkins, etuhu, Dawson, Delap, mellis, even hassell, cranie, cywka, JOB before him, ability can only get you so far. I remember fergie saying Ben thornley had the ability to be the next Ryan Giggs. Yes he got injured a bit but had a heart like a pea, ended up at Huddersfield for a few years and dropped down the leagues and ended up playing for Salford - meanwhile the bloke he was compared to, a few years older than him, is still in united's first team.

If I was to guess where Ryan tunnicliffe will be playing in ten to fifteen years time it'd be more Macclesfield and Salford than man utd and arsenal.

    Hope he proves me wrong.

Got to admit I'm a little shocked by all the criticism of Ryan.

Granted hasnt pulled up any trees but has done simple thing right... he Put in a few good brave tackles, won a few headers, had a decent shot on target, and technically looked a class above the rest of the team.... I was very impressed at his first touch when long ball was played over and he collected it with precision... Just stuck to his boot. Unlike others who would knock it on a few yards.

    Judge him after 10games!

If he plays in ten games ill gamble we will lose the majority. A passenger in the last two.

All well and good having s great touch but if you only touch the ball once then do nowt wi it...

Players don't get ten games at Barnsley. The Bulletin ****ers are all over them in no time if they don't score or don't suit their visions

You're perhaps correct to ask why we needed to bring him in, but I'd leave it at that.
