Apparently the deer population is at its highest since the ice age. Getting oot o control.
So should we no have a deer cull, sell aff the deers cheap (pun) then we could a live like a lord, if only for a day. :p

I'd reintroduce the wolf instead, probably wouldn't need that many to keep the deer population under control.

People freak out at the sight of a fox. A wolf would cause a national panic!

That wouldn't provide an answer nowadays. In modern Britain their range is too limited and the role of nomadic stags has been lost in evolution, leading to in-breeding and a deterioration in the general health of the herd. It is a big problem and it leads to controversial and emotive arguments such as the case of the Exmoor Emperor a couple of years ago.

It is no surprise people immediately think of their stomachs. But the management of land and wildlife is a very difficult issue and it should be kept clear of the vulgarities of the meat industry. Give the populace a taste for it and some basterd will soon be trying his best to supply the demand, without a thought for the specie and it's environment.

Though I certainly need educating, I don't think I'd have the stomach for it, unfortunately. Too many harsh decisions. I'd be interested in browsing the prospectus and any other related articles though, if you have a link? :D
