The good, the bad, and the ugly

The good: Perkins ran his blood to water, scotland looked lively when he came on and so did O'Brien. After the subs we proved we could actually compete with any team in the country.
The bad: Wiseman and Etuhu was the worst right right sided combination that I've seen in a Barnsley side for a long time. Completely failed to mark players who were STOOD (ie not using any skill to move) in absolutely acres of space.
The ugly: Flitcroft's team selection. got it completely wrong. Bobby Hassell needs to hand in a transfer request because his treatment has been disgusting. O'Brien out in favour of etuhu on the right wing? Laughable. And Ryan Tunnicliffe keeping Mellis out? Pull the other one.

 

Thought Perkins did OK if you overlook the fact that he gave the ball away for the first two goals.

 

Scotland was poor when he came on, Perkins did very little other than as you say ran his blood to water, his passing was very poor (especially in the first half), he gave the ball away for them to score 2 goals, ( I will now be told I hate Perkins, but **** it).
Etuthu was a waste of a shirt, Wiseman is not a great fullback but he was left all alone against some classy players.

 

Etuhu was a complete waste of space today, he wasn't fit to wear the shirt but I bet he starts in our next game. I really don't know what Bobby has done to deserve this treatment because there were players on the pitch today who aren't fit to lace his boots.

 

Agree with you MarioKempes. Bobby didn't play today and didn't go to Spain with the team. I wish our so honest manager would tell us why we see so little of one of the best players on the books.

 

I thought Perkins had a poor game. He was the guiltiest of the lot for being awestruck, he was like a little puppy chasing about trying to join in. All this talk about him having a match with YaYa Toure was nonsense, Toure just strolled and Perks got no-where near him all game.

I do agree with ST on Hassell. I'd get myself a new club in the summer if I was Bobby, life's too short and you're a long time dead.

 

If I was Bobby I'd just hang on for a few weeks after the end of the season as I am not at all sure that Flicker will be around next season if he takes us down.

 

I thought the ugly was going to be Joleon Lescott and Carlos Tevez. Make our fans look like modelling material.
