Ffs go to the cu final how many there will be freeloading. Dickie is revered in every part of the country and there's only a few in Barnsley that takes exception to him probably the same few that gets on about Darren Gough and Mike Parkinson etc. Jealousy or spite imo.Not one has come up with a personal reason to have such a almost hate full view of the said people.

I've spoken to him a few times and have always found him to be gracious, polite and with a love for his club that shone through. Very different to our other celebrity 'ex cricketer' fan. I think Dickie (and Shaun Dooley) are genuine fans who are proud to be fans.
Wasn't he given a lifetime season ticket? I remember him being on the pitch with Ridsdale, I think it was the first season under Hart. I may be wrong, but I remember he didn't get a very good reception.

I've met him once, he was one of the dignitaries at my Masters graduation. Didn't get to speak to him for more than a minute, but as a cricket fan I was made up
