There were some cnuts in the upper tier. More concerned about standing up (despite being the only ones in the upper tier stood up) and having a go at "all these cnuts who won't have been at Burnley" than watching the match and supporting the team. I saw a few get kicked out for kicking off with other tarn fans. Embarrassing, they need to learn to handle their ale.
We were in the bottom tier, very near the City fans and there was a lot of good natured banter and chanting. Chant of the day by the City fans: You should have stayed in the Woolpack, stayed in the Woolpack, to a Barnsley fan dancing in the seats. The atmosphere was slightly spoilt by the vast area we were spread over. No chance to get just one chant going.
There were a few people upstairs who got upset when they removed that flag. Didn't really believe it was blocking anyone's view downstairs
I was on the back row lower tier and that wombwell main flag would have been dragged down if they didn't shift it cos we could see **** all! Luckily there were some wombwell mainers on row in front of us and they rang their mates in top tier n told em to shift it
The stewards took it away at half time.. They kept lifting it up in first half, but every time they turned their backs the folk at the front dropped it again. To be fair, it took some believing that it blocked anyone's view.
At one point about 100 fans took their shoes off and started waving them at the city fans. Thought that was really thoughtfull abuse.
And, no I'm not racist in any way, just thought they were making a point about Arab money in a quite intelligent way.
