can we have one of your players? no

when you say 'we are not addressing the issues', what do you think the Club are doing, and what do you think they should be doing differently?

what i heard was 'we are pursuing players relentlessly'

Yes but to keep asking about the same one is silly unless it is Sheffield Wednesday and you ask about O`Grady 12 times !

i have no idea which players are being pursued. but i fail to see how anyone can question flicker's position on this. he's openly said he wants to bring players in. he's openly said he's pursuing this relentlessly. it's march, no one wants to let players go that are any good. and when he does bring players in, they either get slated for being 'no better than what we have' (scotland, o'grady, delap) or just slated full stop (tunnicliffe)

it just baffles me, what some people expect

I think we have a squad good enough to stay up, even without a new LB/LWB.

Just need to find the best formation to suit the best out of that squad. Which isn't easy.

Easier than Flitcroft is making it look, though.

Spoke to Flicker last day of last season. Said it's virtually impossible to get clubs to let players out after January (in reference to replacing Vaz Te). Said the club need to learn from that. That's why I'm glad we didn't let anyone go in Jan this year. Oh, hang on...

I hope we don't get any. I think the best chance we have of beating relegation is using our own players. I already believe that bringing Tunnicliffe in has been a big factor in our poor recent form and we would have done better without him. I don't want to see another player learning the game and trying to find his feet on our time unless it's one of our own.

The Don - "we wont be accepting any offers last minute in the transfer window"

Thats why i don't buy all this "none available" ****. There are lots of players out there that could do a job and we have money in the bank to make it happen.

Tunnicliffe was fetched in when we lost Dawson and Ethuhu, now Dawson's due to return I would expect Tunnicliffe to be used as a squad player.Still baffles me how a lad who has played 3/half games for us gets so much negative treatment on this board. It would have been a right laugh on here if people had judged a fat Ronnie Glavin when he ran out at Lincoln.

TuTu has played in 2 of his games, in a position that he looks poor in, just so we can accomodate Tunnicliffe. If he was going to just use Tunnicliffe until TuTu came back or Dawson came back, then he would already be on the bench!

Ronnie Glavin was our player. We had to give him time to settle in to the team and find his feet for the benefit of Barnsley football club in the long term. Unless a loan player hits the ground running, then what's the point? You're just giving them experience they can use for another team while they make all their mistakes with us.

Flicker can't win. If he settled for an average loan player everyone would get on his back about how poor the signing is. As it is he's trying to bring in a quality LWB but it's taking longer than expected as he's been knocked back by so many clubs. Suddenly he's not addressing the issue. I'd have been very happy with Ferguson and if that's the caliber of player we're looking to bring in then I'm happy to wait.

What LB/LWB did we let go in January, I can't remember that one?

We can get an experienced player on loan, it doesn't need to be a young 'un. Someone who's proven their self at this level and would come into our team and improve it.

I think Tunnicliffe can do a job coming off the bench to sure things up or in case there are more injuries but he shouldn't be playing at the expense of other players like Etuhu who has got considerably worse since he's been playing out of position. It seems like we're required to give him plenty of game time as part of the loan deal and that's back fired as he's not been as good as hoped. Hopefully the 90 minutes in the limelight on Saturday will have convinced Sir Alex that it's still a good idea loaning players to us and Flicker won't start him quite so often, if at all, anymore.
