Replacements Ramones Stooges New York Dolls Blondie Mazzy Star Byrds Big Star Television Nirvana In more or less that order.
That wouldn't be far off mine. I'd have Nirvana a bit higher up, and Sonic Youth would be up there top 3, though. Definitely Replacements #1 .
it seems to be missing pearl jam Eddie Vedder one of the greatest musicians ever sister hazel weezer bare naked ladies they might be giants
Not from my list, though I did struggle bumping REM, Yo La Tengo and the Pixies. Sparklehorse isn't really a band in the true sense. And if I could edit I would probably bump Television, drop Blondie and put the Velvets in at around 5 or 6.
The Strokes, first two albums period Kings of Leon, REM, Anthony and The Johnsons. And of course The Flaming Lips.
Presumably triggered by the Replacements' surprise new album. I don't really get the New York Dolls and think Nirvana were terribly overrated, but I'd move The Byrds to the top of the list and add: Talking Heads Scud Mountain Boys/Pernice Brothers Beastie Boys Flying Burrito Brothers The Jayhawks Daryl Hall and John Oates (unless you're not counting duos!) Devo Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Mamas and the Papas I am, of course, presuming you're not counting 60's vocal groups from Detroit and New York...
Aerosmith Van Halen Metallica Motley Crue Alice Cooper Greenday Blondie, Used to be in love with Debbie.
Believe it or not, it was actually triggered by the search for a replacement left back/wingback/winger for the Reds. I was trying to be clever with this then gave up, thankfully. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J004aQUKbO4 Please tell me Tommy Stinson has left Guns n Roses?
