1 Velvet Underground 2 Quite a bit of stuff on Slumberland Records 3 And K records in the early 90s, but not the grunge garbage 4 And Matinee Recordings but that's mostly English 5 Boyracer since they relocated to Flagstaff 6 A few Pixies songs 7 Dinosaur Jr if they only ever recorded Freak Scene 8 Meh
I don't think there is one. Paul and Tommy did some stuff last year to raise money for Slim Dunlap who is very ill, but it was just a limited edition ep of covers. Westerberg has been in recluse, since 2005 or so, just bringing up his son and coaching little league or whatever American Dads do.
The Doors, Green Day, Blink 182, The Killers, Foo Fighters, The Black Keys... Seem to have got a memory block on American bands so these are the ones from top of my head.
The Velvet Underground Sparklehorse Sonic Youth Pavement Love Lambchop off the top of my head, totally
Of Montreal Dirty Projectors Sebadoh Dinosaur Jr Stooges Grizzly Bear Have you heard Unknown Mortal Orchestra? Interesting, slightly strange psych pop band Marc Riley always bangs on about, I like them
Opened for them once, or maybe they opened for us. 96/97 sometime. Edit - nope, confused them with someone else very similar, Scottish band.... it'll come to me. G 500 were pretty good though, obviously fans of the Sister Lovers LP which was cool as fck at the time, still is.
