This is now the time the club needs us/you all to stand strong and get behind the team.

it doesnt matter if its hassell,or wiseman
    Tunnicliffe or mellis
    Harewood or ogrady.

Those players play for Barnsley fc. The team we love.
What ever team Flicker puts out we have to get behind them.Show them our support and back them to the hilt.

We are not going to win every game, with this squad of players we are not going to lose every game.

We have 11 games starting tonight to back the lads,to be the 12th man, to let those players know, each and every one of them.

That we the fans have there backs.

Its going to be a rollercoaster but hang on,bite your nails and enjoy the ride.

WE ARE BARNSLEY FC AND WE WILL FIGHT. GET BEHIND THEM. COYR

I think we are all behind the players selected on matchday, pal.

We just use this forum afterwards, to share our opinions.

The only one dividing the fans right now isn't on this forum... is he?

    Uproar? Not what I've seen.

I have seen the odd query, but nothing more.

I've picked Wiseman in every team lately, even though he's apparently my whipping boy.

there is one thing i personally would change and that is matchday captain.

Steele isnt vocal enough for me. i would have Dawson if hes playing if not Harewood or Delap.

Tunnicliffe is a waste of a loan player, he was not needed, what we needed was a left wing back or a big burly centre half if we were playing 4-4-2 , what we got was a kid from Man Utd, that while he may go on to be the greatest midfielder in English football, at the moment he is just not up to it. We had TuTu in there , then he was moved out wide to accomodate Tunnicliffe, this after playing very well apparently ! The playing of Wiseman at centre half is suicidal, he is terrible there, he is slightly better at fullback,, but still not that great. He is ideal for the wingback role though.
These are not some random words put down on paper by some 18 year old that has only watched the Premiership, these are words by me, someone that has been watching football since the 1966 World Cup(first I can remember anyway), as well as playing the game for 30 odd years.I have seen some great players here and some really poor ones so I think I may know a little bit about the subject, I do not claim to be an expert or anything like that, but I do know when a player is not good enough, I will give them my support while ever they play, but I will not say they are something they are not on an internet forum.

Those motivational team building seminars don't have the same resonance round here buddy. Though Billy Graham did sell out Brammall Lane many years ago if memory serves. :D

So in your view you know more about the subject than Hemsworth does, fair enough.

But Flitcroft has a different view to you and I'm pretty sure he thinks he knows more about the subject than you do, which I guess he does.

His words are not the words of a Barnsley supporter, no matter how much experience of watching football and playing amateur football (correct me if I'm wrong) they might have had. These are the words of an ex-professional footballer who watches the players every day and has experience in professional football management.

So Flicker doesn't? He could claim that his superior football knowledge makes you wrong, as you have. I think this is where your argument breaks down.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion and the condescending tone you took with Hemsworth there just doesn't sit quite right with me. You may think his opinion is wrong a lot of the time which is fair enough but his opinion is no less important than yours. This forum is for debating, and when people start claiming that others opinions aren't worth anything should they just pack in having opinions and listen to them? We don't stop having opinions and listen to Flicker just because he's a professional football manager, god forbid! :p

No offence there Mark. Maybe I've gone a bit over the top.

Why has everything got to be about fecking hemsworth-tyke FFS!
I never mentioned him and for a start he is a lot older than 18 yrs old.

People are getting as obsessed with hemsworth as they with Hassell !!

    Because he loves it!

But seriously fair enough, I just assumed given he's young and watches the premier league. But if I was an 18 year old who disagreed with you I'd be upset my opinions were wrong by default :p

Something really needs to sorted out about this. Its starting to piss me off.

Poor hemsy hasnt commented on anything here and still gets mentioned and talked about like a piece of ****.

If you were all as motivated about the team as you are of Hemsy we would be top of the fans league.

if you dont want to comment about the original thread

    just **** RIGHT OFF DICKHEADS

Really looking forward to tonight's match

Being the biggest wimp in Christendom, I've got about 15 layers of clothing on to keep out the cold! Calgary Tyke would probably think it's quite mild!:D
