Left match with 2 minutes of the 4 added to go, cos youngun couldn't bare to watch and just got in car as final whistle went. WTF was flitcroft on about. People sniping and not appreciating the players and the work hes done.. saying hes had a really worrying week. was asked what a great win it was and he snapped that they had all been great wins, since he had been in charge Getting more and more like Kieth every week.Thank god hes better at his job. Like D Parker said. People will say stuff he doesn't like, he'll have to get used to it
Agreed - I heard that and didn't understand his rant. Saw Flitcroft at the Lamproom a few weeks ago and was really impressed by his passion - but he doesn't endear himself to anyone when he starts playing the martyr. Football management comes with people that will knock you and moan - get over it son...
Why am I not getting behind him. I am just asking the question what was that all about. Really no need at all.... have you actually heard the Interview
I think it is just the pressure starting to show but unlike Hill I think he'll get better and follow up these types of comments with some very positive ones.
This sort of stuff really worries me, I think he harbours resentment at not being offered the job in the first place, think he really doesn't like the club. Will be such a shame but the way I read him is he'll take the first offer he gets to get away from us. Really hope I'm wrong because I think he's extremely talented.
Must say I have t agree Andy, He's had some stuck but he's in a job where he has to get used to it. He tells the players they must not become victims I think he needs to listen to his own advice . He's gonna lose the fans just like hill if he's not careful if the snipes and sometimes unjust critism gets to him he shouldn't be a football manager. My advice to him would be don't listen to critisism or praise just get on with the job and the rewards or failures will take care of themselves and don't take a snipe at some fans and media at every oppertunity there's only one winner ask Keith Hill.let your management do the talking and chill out.
I've not heard the interview but he does appear to be feeling the pressure. The sequence of wins should have got us clear of relegation and I think we all feel frustrated it didn't. He's doing what good managers do, defending the players and let's be honest, there has been some right ***** talked on here recently. Flicker is not guaranteed a job or an income at the end of the season and I think a lot of us will know how that feels. He might feel he deserves that security after what still is a fantastic start to the job, it will likely relieve some of the pressure and allow him to work more freely. I suspect BFC are keeping their options open.
Does any manager really have 100% backing of the fans? For a team in serious relegation trouble I'd say he's doing rather well to have more than 50% - in reality it's probably in the region of 80%.
If he's been on here over the last few weeks and read some of the $hite that's been posted, I'm not surprised he's starting to snap at people
This is the interview on the BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21765921 Which seems like a really good interview to me. I'm guessing there must have been another one.
Yer cant fault the bloke for his commitment and belief some people cant see beyond end of there nose, weave got a rough diamond here and we should treasure it.
Haven't heard it, so can't comment. But what I will say, is this - if he's seriously reading this forum which is made up of around 50 regular posters, of which there are contrasting opinions but very little vitriol, and he's actually using us few fans (50 of 7,500) to portray the whole fanbase, he's got BIG issues. But well done on last night, David. You and the players delivered. In fact, well done so far as our manager. Long may it/you continue.
Which interview do you mean? The one on the BBC and on Player sound fine to me. He's doing a fantastic job. 20 points from 11 games. We were dead and buried when he took over and now we are 2 points clear of the bottom three. He's honest, passionate, hard working and admits openly if he feels he's made a mistake. He has the players with him and he tries different things and alters our set up if things are not going right. I personally think he has already earned a longer term deal and I believe 99% of our fans are delighted with what he has done.
