I've been very critical of him. It's only right that I praise him tonight - the best game I've seen him have for us, nothing silly. Helped that Cranie was excellent alongside him. Well done Scott.
No, the penny hasn't dropped. He's had some dreadful games, but I've been fair enough to state that he had a really good game tonight. Long may it continue.
Couple of decent headed clearences and still dropped the odd bollo8k, especially towards the end after been moved to full back to cut out the pace he drifted inside leaving leaving us 2 against 1. It resulted in a header going just wide and was almost the last time of the game.
Kinell, talk abart Drama Queens on here Wiseman has a rare good game (and he did a have a good un there's no doubting that and well done to him), but all of a sudden he's Lionel feckin Messi. That's the standard required every game, over to you Scott.
Nobody can really put in perfect performances at this level. I thought Wiseman was very good tonight. As was Steele, Cranie, Delap, Mellis, Etuhu, O'Grady and Scotland. Who've I missed?? Excellent all round performance.
Perkins and Kennedy also had good games. Just a bit disappointed with Jim today. I agree Wiseman had a good game tonight. He's got a good first touch and the pace to cover the ball over the top. It was also his ball in to O'Grady for the first goal.
did well with the back up from steels penalty save, well read and good clearence, brighton player ready to pounce....well done scott....so no more fukin abart nar
I think we should let him get a few more good performances under his belt before we draw such conclusions.
That's about as excited as I'm going to get about it too. Fair play to him though, I like it when crap players get good. It gives me hope.
Wiseman just needs to cut the errors out and he'll be a decent player, he's not a centre half but he is quick which helps a lot. I think if he played at right back more often then we'd see a totally different player, when he first joined I thought he looked very comfortable on the right, dealt with the opposition wingers ok and would bomb forward now and again. It's managers playing him out of position that have caused him to get the stick he does - some other players deserve the stick a lot more than he does.
