"We've come a long way and I hope people do understand and realise that" Flicker tonite. Patience and trust are crucial. Let the man do his job. He's allowing us to dream again and we need to support what he's doing for the club. Stop with the "he's turning into Keith" nonsense. This guy has turned our season around whether we stay up or go down. Less fickle more faith.
He has to understand though the nature of his profession and in particular, don't chase comments that he sees as negative, just let the results do the talking.
With the praise and adulation comes criticism, he needs to know its not personal just the nature of football fans.
Yep. Fair point. However he is still learning......hence the need for patience. Also the Sir Bob thing is getting tedious. Flicker and Bobby must be getting sick of it. Whilst we will never eliminate the negative on this board we could try and start accentuating the positive a bit more. Think I should put that to music.
After reflecting on Saturday. Flicker appears to have saved some players for tonight. Six players played 45 mins, non were injured, and non suspended, and some were left out. I thought that this may have not been deliberate but on seeing tonights team selection, I think it was. Well done, tonight was the most important game.
Like I posted in the other thread. I dont know where his comments have come from tonight. No one is calling for his head, the fans in my opinion are right behind him. I defo am Apart form a question about Bobby by Giddings. whos had a go at him or the players. No ones ever booed him or the players since he took over I honesty don't know why he blasted Adam Oxley like he did , he just wanted to ask him about A great win
Immediately after game at pitch side http://bbs.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showthread.php?186701-Flitcrofts-Latest-Interview-even-more-interesting
I think you are right he has turned the season round from where were were at Christmas . I've said it before it will be a great achievement if we stay up from the position Hill left us in and Flitcroft will deserve a permanent contract but theres no glory in relegation from the Championship I can't agree with that.
It's fair to say we'd have been dead and buried now if Hill had stayed so even if we finish 5 points adrift at the bottom, Flitcroft has got to be given another year - if we kept most of the squad together we really could p*ss the ale house league. But we're staying up anyway so that's irrelevant - we'll be going to Premier League games on our hover boards in 2014/15!
