    Gorky's Zygotic Mynci are ace.
The recently defunct Race Horses could have been phenomenal.
Manics continue to make great music.
Super Furry Animals are truly awesome.

Gorky's Zygotic Mynci were pretty ace indeed, I don't like all of their stuff, but the good stuff is really good...

And yes, the Super Furries are something amazing, the best band on the planet since the Boo Radleys split, in fact. :p You should check out some of their solo stuff and other projects, there's so much talent in that band that even most of their solo releases have been pretty good.

Never heard of Race Horses... I like the other three bands on your list though, so I should probably check them out some time. But because your name begins with Z, I just remembered another band that could have been phenomenal: Zabrinski! Ever heard of them?

Manics... Good band, but they've always been a bit hit-and-miss for me. I prefer their early albums and EPs, but the newer ones have their moments too... if they could somehow combine the raw energy of their early days, and the catchy melodies and cool riffs of their "latter days", they could be more than just a "good band".

Definitely check out Race Horses if you like early Gorky's. I loved the quirky, psychedelic GZM style. They got a bit too folky for my taste by the end. Euros has had a few decent solo albums since though.

Gruff Rhys solo albums have been good, especially Hotel Shampoo. I checked out the Acid Casuals too - nice vibes!

Not heard of Zabrinski but I'll check them out. I see they were on Ankst too. Cheers for the tip.

Lost Prophets and Treorchy Male Voice Choir. Not the greatest maybe, but my preference.

I can't think of Charlotte Church in that manner, not having seen her as a little girl. Did that come out right? Might be back to edit....
